Nongstoin MLA takes initiative for Synod

NONGSTOIN: Nongstoin MLA Macmillan Byrsat on Friday met church elders and village leaders of Nongpyndeng and discussed on the preparations for the Synod Samla church service to be held next year at Presbyterian Church Nongpyndeng.
Several issues were discussed like improvement of village roads, metalling and blacktopping of existing PWD roads in several parts of the village, improvement of drinking water, electricity, solar system, footpath and many related issues.
The MLA assured the church leaders and village elders that he would take responsibility regarding the matter and write to the Ministers in-charge of the PWD, PHE, Urban Affairs and Power for follow up action. He added that regarding the village road at Nongpyndeng, he has made a proposal under the CRF scheme and the matter has been sent to the Secretariat for approval. Byrsat said that he had also spoken to the Minister in-charge of the department.
The MLA added that regarding the drinking water system, he wrote to the Chief Engineer of PHE department. 
The MLA assured that he will meet the departments concerned for the smooth conduct of the programme.
