Conference
The 11the Biennial conference of the Meghalaya Finance Service Association was held on May 12 in which A. Bhagotia, secretary, Finance Department and P.K. Agrahari was the chief guest and guest of honour . The conference also elected new office bearers in which W.Shallam was elected as president and K.R. Nongrum as secretary of the Association and other office bearers.
Check-up
The office of the Deputy Commissioner, East Khasi Hills District will organise a pre-recruitment physical grooming and medical check-up for the candidates of East Khasi Hills District who have registered for the upcoming Army Recruitment Rally to be held at Tura. The check up will be held on May 16 at Second Ground, Polo, Shillong from 9 am to 12 noon.
Weather warning
The Indian Meteorological Department has issued a weather warning whereby thunderstorm accompanied with gusty wind and heavy rain is likely to occur at isolated places over Assam & Meghalaya from May 15 to18.
