Headless body recovered
One decomposed body was recovered from a forest at Mawpran under Pynursla Police Station on May 15. According to police, the headless body of a male victim was recovered from Mawpran, a few kilometers from Pynursla. .

One killed
On May 15 around 2:00 pm, one truck (ML-05B-1233) loaded with sand crashed into a gorge at Lumrynjah village in West Jaintia Hills. As a result, one occupant succumbed to his injuries, while three others were admitted at the Civil Hospital in Ialong.

Threat
Donboklang K. Lyngdoh lodged a complaint stating that on May 12 around 3.30 pm, a group of twenty people led by Pelcy Snaitang removed the signboard of Mawpait-Trongpleng village at Trongpleng in South West Khasi Hills and threatened the villagers with dire consequences.
