NIOS D.El.Ed exams from May 31

SHILLONG: The National Institute of Open Schooling (NIOS) will conduct a special D.El.Ed examination of 1st year first semester subject code 501, 502 and 503 from May 31 to June 2, 2018.
Hall tickets and admit card for the examination for untrained in-service elementary school teachers batch 2017-19 can be downloaded from the NIOS website www.nios.ac.in using the enrollment number and date of birth of the candidates.
The examination is being held following the announcement of the Union Human Resources Development (MHRD) Ministry that “those teachers either Govt, SSA, Adhoc, Deficit or Private who have not done the teachers training course but teaching the students of classes 1 – 8, have to complete the 18 months special designed Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed) course by March 31, 2019 to become eligible for the teaching profession. 
Around 13,78,981 untrained in-service teachers have enrolled for the course across the country with 26,980 teachers set to appear the examinations beginning May 31. 
Meanwhile, the next public examination for Secondary and Senior Secondary course of NIOS will be conducted in September-October 2018. Registration and payment of examination fees for fresh and unsuccessful learners of previous examination May 21-June 20 and for learners who have been unsuccessful in the preceding examination of April 2018 is June 20 without late fees.
Those who register between June 21 and June 30 have to pay late fee of Rs 100 per subject while those who register between July 1 and July 10 will have to pay consolidates late fee of Rs 1500.
