Pvt institutions shine in board exams

SHILLONG: Private institutions which are not affiliated with MBoSE secured top positions in SSLC and HSSLC (Arts) examinations compared to past few years.
In the SSLC results, Al Amin Miah secured the 11th position.
He is from Hari Shanti Niketan Vidhalaya Secondary School, South West Garo Hills.
Shahidul Islam Mondal of Paragon English Secondary School, Tikrikilla secured the 12th position, while Ellora Rabha from the same school secured the 15th position.
Bikash Barman from Hari Shanti Niketan Vidhalaya Secondary School, South West Garo Hills secured the 13th spot.
The lone position holder from East Khasi Hills is Synrangskhem Nongbsap from Lawmei Secondary School, Lawmei.
In the HSSLC result, there is only one position holder from a private institution, Overlander Kharumnuid of Green Hill Higher Secondary School, Sohryngkham, East Khasi Hills.
