Garo Hills toppers tally rises to 13

TURA: The excellent performance put up by students from the Garo Hills region in this year’s Class X SSLC examination continues to grow with the discovery of another success story, once again from the town of Mahendraganj.
The 11th position holder in the state’s top twenty list has been found to be Al-Amin Miah, son of a primary chool teacher hailing from a very small and remote village called Kamarpara.
His identity was unknown to the media since he had appeared from a private institution in Mahendraganj.
He completed his schooling from a little known Hari Shanti Niketan Vidyalaya Secondary School in Mahendraganj and did it proud by securing the 11th position in the entire state with a pass percentage of 93.16%.
“I draw inspiration from my father who taught me to be a well mannered person with an aim in life,” says Al-Amin. The news of the SSLC results which has so thrilled Garo hills may to its good tidings when the details about the two more of whom nothing is known beyond their names reach the media!
