Misconduct
A woman from Mission Compound, Mairang in West Khasi Hills lodged a complaint that on May 24, unknown person(s) circulated her picture along with one abandoned baby found at Mawkynrew village in East Khasi Hills, through social media along with a message alleging that she (complainant) is the mother of the baby.
Theft
On May 26 around 4 am, miscreants stole thirty-two number of batteries from the Office of Chief Engineer, MES under Rynjah Police Station.
Two injured in road accidents
On May 26 around 9.15 am, one truck driven by Parmod Boro knocked down a pedestrian, Anita Teron (27) at Mawiong. Victim sustained injuries and was admitted at Civil Hospital, Shillong for treatment.
On May 25 around 8.45 am, one local taxi driven by Raju Sumer (35) knocked down one pedestrian namely, Karamveer Singh at Lapalang. Victim sustained injuries and was shifted to Woodland Hospital for treatment.
