Murder widely condemned

SHILLONG: The management and the staff of Nazareth Hospital and the Trained Nurses’ Association of India, Meghalaya Branch, have strongly condemned the brutal murder of a staff nurse of Nazareth Hospital Leiyaton Soro whose body was recovered from Ryngdang Briew near Umiam recently.
In a statement issued here on Thursday, the staff of Nazareth Hospital said Soro was a gentle and committed nurse and her loss cannot be adequately expressed in words.
The staff extended their condolences and prayers to the bereaved family.
The Meghalaya Pradesh Mahila Congress and the Shillong City Mahila Congress have also expressed shock and condemned the heinous incident that claimed the life of the 28-year-old nurse.
The committees hoped that the culprits will be brought to justice and punished as per the rule of law.
