Another baby abandoned
On May 31 around 11.30 am, one baby girl was found abandoned in a jungle at Upper Lumparing.
The baby was removed to Ganesh Das Hospital. Later, it was learnt that the mother of the baby is one seventeen year old girl of the same locality.

FIR against Congress
Mariush Ch Marak and six others lodged a complaint that on May 25, while they along with Agatha K Sangma, MLA were conducting door-to-door political campaign at Chengkompara, Daru A’du, Kebolpara and Agalgre villages under Ampati LA Constituency, South West Garo Hills, one Chondon Sangma and others abused and threatened them allegedly at the behest of the Congress candidate from Ampati.
After the political campaign late at night, while complainants were returning to Tura from Agalgre village in South West Garo Hills, they were chased by the associates of Chondon Sangma with an intention to attack them. Following this incident, the complainants informed the police for help.
Police and Magistrate from flying squad rushed to the spot and managed to intercept vehicles from which bottles of liquors, lethal objects and election materials belonging to Congress Party were recovered and they were seized in their presence.

House burgled
On May 29 around 12.30 pm, miscreants broke into the house of Sajeda Begum at Bholarbhita (West Garo Hills) and stole cash Rs 1,80,000 and gold ornaments valued around Rs. 2,25,000.

Assault during school meeting
Nur Mohammed Sheik lodged a complaint that on May 28, during a meeting of parents and guardians at SSA U.P School, Gasbari Bhaitbari, West Garo Hills, Almas Hoque and others assaulted the complainant. Victim sustained injuries and was shifted to PHC Phulbari for treatment.
Almas Hoque, Headmaster, SSA UP School, Gasbari Bhaitbari (WGH) lodged a complaint that on May 28, while parents and guardians were having meeting in the school, Nur Mohammed and others assaulted the complainant and guardians present in the meeting. As a result, victims sustained injuries.
