Event postponed
Sobujer Dol, a socio-cultural organisation, Shillong informed that craft making & think, write & recite competition which was supposed to be held at Laban Bengalee Boys’ Higher Secondary School followed by cultural evening at Sanatan Dharmasabha, Laitumkhrah on Saturday and Sunday has been postponed until further notice.
Financial literacy
The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) will observe the Financial Literacy Week from June 4 to 8 with a theme ‘Consumer Protection’. The theme has been chosen to create awareness among the consumers of financial services about their rights, responsibilities, good practices and resolution mechanisms in a fast changing digital financial landscape. The programme will be inaugurated at the RBI Conference Hall, Shillong. The inaugural function will be attended by the senior representatives of banks, local media, government officials and the RBI will unfurl the programme for the week.
