BSF organises blood donation camp in Tura

SHILLONG: The Border Security Force organised a blood donation camp at Dobasipara in South Garo Hills on June 1.
The border guards have been organising public outreach programmes to save the lives of local population near the international border.
At the camp, 82 jawans including officers, subordinates and other unit ranks under Sector Headquarters Tura donated blood.
The blood bank authorities also distributed sweets, fruits and juice to donors.
U K Nayal, DIG/PRO Meghalaya Frontier said that such camps will be organized at the international border of South Garo Hills, South West Garo Hills and West Garo Hills District of Meghalaya in the near future.
