New Delhi:  Aam Aadmi Party MP Sanjay Singh on Wednesday wrote to President Ram Nath Kovind, seeking an appointment to inform him about the ongoing situation in Delhi.
Singh said that he, along with all the AAP lawmakers from Delhi and Punjab, can update Kovind on the IAS “strike” in Delhi.
“Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal with Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia and cabinet ministers Satyendar Jain and Gopal Rai are on ‘Satyagraha’ from last three days but the Lt. Governor did not find time for even three minutes.
“I also asked him to meet along with three MPs, but the LG did not give us time,” Singh wrote in his letter.
Kejriwal and the ministers are in the Raj Niwas, the official accommodation-cum-office of Lt. Governor Anil Baijal, since Monday evening. Sisodia and Jain have now launched an indefinite hunger strike.
The Delhi Chief Minister said he and his colleagues would not leave Baijal’s office until their demands, including a direction to IAS officers working in the Delhi administration to end their “strike”, were met.(IANS)
