NCW forms 3-member inquiry team to look into gangrape case in Khunti

New Delhi, Jun 22 (PTI) The National Commission for Women has formed a three-member inquiry team who would go to Khunti district in Jharkhand to look into the case involving gangrape of five women, a NCW official said.
Five women, working with a NGO, were allegedly raped at gunpoint by a group of at least five men when they had gone to Chochang village in Khunti district in Jharkhand to create awareness on migration and human trafficking, police said today. The NCW has also formed a three-member team who would go to Khunti district to probe the matter, the official said. It has also directed Jharkhand Director General of Police DK Pandey to apprise the NCW of the action taken in the case. PTI
