Rice released
The SDSEO, Tura Sadar has informed that rice for mid day meal has been released with effect from June 22 as first quarter for the months of April, May and June for 65 days. The SMC Secretaries have been directed to come to the office of the SDSEO, Tura to find the location of the wholesaler and collect the allotment from respective BMCs.
Hindi workshop
19 officers and officials participated at the one-day Hindi workshop held on June 26 in office of the Principal Accountant General (Audit), Shillong. The workshop was inaugurated by Hari Prakash, Deputy Accountant General (ES-II) in the presence of P.R. Ryngkhlem, Establishment Officer.
Ration cards
The Deputy Commissioner (Supply), East Khasi Hills, Shillong has informed that PDS beneficiaries as per Census/SECC 2011 who have not collected their Priority Household Ration Cards are informed either to call Helpline 1967 to locate their ration card details or to visit the help desk in DC Office Room No 103/106 or 119. They can also visit www.eastkhasihills.gov.in/pds-uc to locate their HOF/member name by July 16. Those who have located their name are requested to note down their ration card number and the name of the fair price shop and contact the office of the DC (Supply), EKH.
Dorbar
The Dorbar Shnong Pynthorbah, Pynthorumkhrah, Shillong in its Dorbar held on the July 11 elected the following office bearers- K.H. Rumnong as Rangbah Shnong, I.R. Kharumnuid as assistant Rangbah Shnong, M. Kharhunai as secretary, W.S. Lyngdoh as assistant secretary, R.S. Dohling as treasurer along with 19 executive members.
Members elected
The Williamnagar-IV Grade Govt. Employee Association in a meeting held on June 23 unanimously elected new office bearers. The members are – Dijan Marak as president, Clement Sangma as vice president, Withosing Sangma as secretary, Bolwin Marak as joint secretary, July Sangma as treasurer, Jollin Sangma as accountant, Pinglest Sangma as finance secretary, Gorang Marak as adviser along with 7 executive members for the subsequent term.
Meeting
The general executive committee of the UDP Ranikor circle of the UDP Ranikor Circle will discuss the bye-election to the Ranikor constituency on July 2 at Rangthong. The secretary of UDP Ranikor circle, D.E. Turnia requested the presence of presidents and secretaries of primary and zonal unit to attend the meeting.
