SHILLONG: Former district Congress committee chief of South West Khasi Hills, Kitborlang Nongrem said the state of affairs in the political drama of Ranikor constituency will be made clear during the inauguration of the Ranikor civil sub-division on July 10.
Nongrem however said that it was certain that former Congress MLA, MM Danggo would join NPP and express confidence that he would win from the party in the Ranikor by-election.
As for the demand for a civil subdivision at Ranikor, he said the temporary office was already identified.
According to Nongrem, the demand for the civil subdivision has been pending since 2007 and that despite being one of the senior most party leaders, his push for the same was ignored.
He alleged that former chief minister Mukul Sangma considered the senior Congress leaders as a threat to his post.
