23.2 pc population have Aadhaar coverage in state

SHILLONG: As many as 7,61,292 Aadhaar cards have been issued in Meghalaya till May 30, a report of the Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) said.
The state wise Aadhaar saturation stands at 23.2 percent out of the total population of 32,76,323, the report added. According to the UIDAI website, Aadhaar saturation in Meghalaya for the 0-5 year old population is 0.1 per cent with 608 cards generated out of a total of 448,950 while the Aadhaar saturation for the 5-18 year age group is 14.8% per cent with a total of 1,59,830 cards generated out of a projected population of 10,80,531.
