SHILLONG: The Mawkynrew Public Health Centre (PHC) is marred by poor infrastructure which has crippled the functioning of the centre in delivering better health services to the rural community of the Constituency.
MLA/MDC of Mawkynrew, Banteidor Lyngdoh paid a surprise visit to the PHC on Tuesday in which he found that the labour room is in a poor condition with leakage of water.
In a statement issued by the MDC’s Mawkynrew office, Lyngdoh found that the quarters of doctors, staff and guard are not suitable.
The MLA has assured to take up the matter with the Health Minister.
