Family dispute turns fatal in WGH, 1 dies

SHILLONG: A person succumbed to his injuries after being assaulted over a family dispute in a village in West Garo Hills.
Ayzur Rahman of Chorbatapara village lodged a complaint that around 7 pm on June 29, Tomejuddin Munsi called his brother Kayam Rahman (28) to his house where six others — Ashraful Islam, Mokbul Hussain, Muktar Hussain, Kashinur Bibi, Akidur Hussain and Nozmal Hoque — were present.
Later, the family members of Kayam Rahman (who was waiting for him outside the house) found him with grievous injuries and shifted him to CHC Phulbari, from where he was referred to a hospital in Goalpara.
However, the injured person succumbed to his injuries on the way to hospital.
