Former ANVC-B leader pushes for rehab package

SHILLONG: Former ANVC-B leader, Bernard Mark is unhappy with the Government’s inaction on the disbursal of rehabilitation package for the surrendered cadres.
The former leader said tensions are mounting on the surrendered cadres who think that their leader is not doing anything for the disbursement of the package meant for them.
Marak said several letters have been sent to the government but they are yet to receive any response till date.
“ We have not received any appointment from the government”, Marak said.
The surrendered cadres are likely to call for a meeting on Friday to discuss the matter.
He also alleged that there is no follow up action from the Government on the last joint monitoring committee meeting which was held in New Delhi.
