SHILLONG: A minor boy of Mooshrot village under Raliang outpost in West Jaintia Hills died after being accidentally asphyxiated.
Thanbi Suchiang of Mooshrot village under Raliang lodged an FIR on July 5 around 5 pm, his minor son Master Jingstadmi Dkhar (10) while playing near his house, accidentally stuck his head inside a carry bag and got suffocated to death. As a result he succumbed to his injuries at the spot.
When contacted, police confirmed that it was accidental strangulation and there was no foul play into the incident. Necessary formalities were observed and the matter was under enquiry.
