SHILLONG: A boy of Mooshrot village under Raliang outpost in West Jaintia Hills lost his life in freak accident on Thursday.
Thanbi Suchiang of Mooshrot village under Raliang lodged an FIR stating that on July 5 around 5:00 pm, his minor son Jingstadmi Dkhar (10) while playing near his house, accidentally stuck his head inside a polythene bag and died of asphyxiation.
When contacted, police confirmed that it was accidental strangulation and that no evidence of foul play was found. Necessary formalities were observed and the matter is under enquiry.
