SHILLONG: The RR colony local unit of the BJP celebrated the birth anniversary of Jan Sangh founder Dr.Shyama Prasad Mookherjee at the party office on Friday.
BJP leader and Health Minister AL Hek who was the present as the chief guest, lauded the contribution of Dr. Mookherjee and described him as a true nationalist who sacrificed his life for the unity of the country.
Others who spoke on the occasion included former MDC David Kharsati, HL Deb Roy and AK Das.
