Coal-laden trucks seized
On July 7, police detected two trucks (AS-19C-2221 & AS-19C-4989) driven by Md. Eusub Ali (27) and Babu Hussain (30), respectively, while transporting coal in violation of NGT order at Bajengdoba, North Garo Hills.
IT Act violation
Dr. A.C Phukan of NEIGRIHMS Mawdiangdiang lodged a complaint that on July 4, miscreants hacked his e-mail account and misused for fraudulent money transaction and requested money from the complainant’s contact, on his behalf.
Following this, Piyush Kumar presuming that the e-mail was genuine, sent Rs. 60,000 to the account of Bikram Singha.
Fire breaks out in city
On July 8 around 9.30 pm, fire broke out in the cash counter of Syndicate Bank at A.R Bazar, Happy Valley. The cause of the fire is said to be electric short circuit. As a result, counting machine, computers, Alarm system, CCTV connection, furniture, etc, were gutted.
