SHILLONG: Like NPP, Congress too has started the  groundwork  for the upcoming by-poll to Ranikor Assembly constituency.

Congress leader, P T Sawkmie on Wednesday informed that State Congress working president  was already in Ranikor to get a feel of the situation

He also said that the there were three to four probable candidates in the constituency.  “ Once he submits his report  to the MPCC, the matter will be discussed,” Sawkmie said

The by-poll to the Ranikor constituency is necessitated after Congress MLA,  MM Danggo   resigned from the party as well as  the  post of MLA.

Danggo is likely to contest the election on an NPP ticket

On the other hand, UDP is also keen to put up its candidate Pius Marwein in the constituency while PDF Chief PN Syiem is also presenting himself as the common candidate for the by-elections.
