PDF a divided house: KHADC chairman

SHILLONG: People’s Democratic Front (PDF) member and Chairman of the Khasi Hills Autonomous District Council (KHADC), LG Nongsiej said the PDF is currently divided.
“I am concerned over the disunity in the party. It is apparent that PDF is divided. The leaders at the party level should look into the matter and it is up to the party to bring the MDCs together,” he told reporters on Tuesday.
He added that after the arrival of the president, Ivanlumlang Marbaniang, the party will convene a meeting of all the MDCs.
PP leader of the PDF in the KHADC, James Basaia-wmoit said, “We have not sat for a meeting and we hope something positive will come out” Asked if he will contest the CEM election, he said, “If the party decides I will have to.” He said there are many PDF MDCs who are dissidents and they are yet to resign from the PDF.
