Exhibition held at Little Flower School

SHILLONG: An exhibition centered on various subjects was organised by Little Flower School in Malki on Wednesday.
As part of the school’s objective for all-round development of its students, the exhibition showcased a number of models and exhibits. Students were divided into different classes and presented their exhibits on subjects such as physical and mathematical representations, green industry and the environment, health and biological science, literacy exhibits and socio-cultural exhibits.
Poonam Guha, who is also the teacher in-charge of the exhibition said: “We desire to develop scientific temperament among our students. It is about involving them with practical work”.
“Up to class X it is mostly theoretical science for them. But we are exposing our students to laboratory and practical work that comes in higher studies,” said co-teacher in-charge Joydeep Das.
More than 200 hundred students participated in the programme.
Professors from prominent colleges were also present and judged the different exhibits.
Deputy Director of School Education and Literacy LS Lyngdoh, who was present as the chief guest said: “This will showcase innovative ideas of the students. And I am happy to learn that there is also a science club. The school has achieved a lot”
District School Education Officer RM Pariat was also present as the guest of honour.
