ANVC.B leaders to wear black badge protesting non implementation peace pact

SHILLONG:  The ANVC.B leaders  have decided to wear black badge against non-implementation of  provisions of the  Peace pact

Former Organising  Secretary, Akimbri R Marak  has requested their leaders to wear black badges in the centre level monitoring committee for making fun of the Agreed Text.

 

He said that the state government had neglected them and delayed the implementation of the ‘Peace pact’  for the last  four years  adding that the historic settlement of the Garo organisations has become a subject of humiliation though it has been paged in Meghalaya’s achievement.

 

“It is a shameful thing that former Chief Minister took all credit for the projects sanctioned through the state government as part of the agreement including the medical college, Child and maternity hospital in Tura, the Tura-Nongstoin road to name a few,” the statement added.

 

The former ANVC-B leader also alleged that creation of new districts and sub divisions were also part of the agreement but the people who signed the agreement were never made part of any of these achievements.

 

He said that the Political leaders took all credit and attempts were made to create division among the cadres and officers of the organisation.

“ANVC.B cadres still stand together except those who were sent as a mole. Further the delay, stronger we will be. State has tried everything during the time of S.K.Jain and Mukesh Kumar Singh to scatter our cadres but we were the untamable, which we still are,” the statement added

The ANVC-B leader also alleged that their packages were given to UALAs and those who were  associated with police got the packages before them, adding most of the people to whom the packages were issued were not even cadres.

The ANVC-B   leader also asked the Government to produce who are the 365 cadres who they claimed to have received the packages.
