One dies in bike accident
On July 15 around 8.15 pm, a motorcycle (A/F) ridden by Lalzoma Ngaite dashed against one local taxi (ML-04A-9995) at New Hill Jaintia School Junction in West Jaintia Hills. As a result, the pillion rider of the motorcycle, Thianglai sustained injuries and was admitted at Dr. Norman Tunnel Hospital, Jowai where he succumbed to his injuries the next day. Necessary formalities were observed and the matter is under enquiry.
Man shot at in WJH
Idrim Bhoi lodged a complaint that on July 14 around 12.30 pm, miscreants shot at her brother Monbun Bhoi with firearm at Tympharkhla village in West Jaintia Hills causing injuries on his legs. Matter is under investigation.
Motorcycle stolen
On July 16 around 11.30 pm, miscreants stole one motorcycle (ML-05M-2794) belonging to P. Kharakor of Lower Lumparing Mission Complex. Matter is under enquiry.
