Fraud
Nabamita Kharsati of Nongrimmaw, Laitumkhrah, Shillong lodged a complaint that in the course of business transaction, three persons, Lakhinandan Das, Dipak Talukdar and Romeo L Neogi, cheated her of Rs. 6,20,000 which she had deposited in the bank account of Romeo L Neogi at HDFC, Guwahati Branch, in favour of M/s

Zeliezhu.
John Jayakumar Dorairaj of Don Bosco Campus, Laitumkhrah, lodged a complaint that on July 14, one Pradeep Karmakar took Rs. 50,000 from him as an advance payment, with an agreement to supply religious statues. However, the complainant has not received the materials till date.

Body found
On July 19 around 4 pm, one decomposed male body was recovered from a jungle near Damdiloka village (SWGH). It is suspected that the deceased was murdered.
On July 18, body of one Blowdwing Lyngdoh (72), was recovered from the outskirt of Umsohbar village under Patharkhmah outpost.

Theft
On July 18, miscreants stole one motorcycle (ML-05K-8692) belonging to Shanmiki Lyngdoh Mawphlang from Demseiniong near DGAR, Shillong.
Prabha Roy Ryngkhlem lodged a complaint that on July 18, miscreants broke into quarter number 6,7 & 8, Lyndhurst Estate, New Colony, Laitumkhrah and stole water pump, lock & latch, water taps and fittings, among other items.
Apdeimon Ksoo lodged a complaint that on June 25, two teenagers broke into his shop at Mynsoo village and stole goods worth of Rs 7,500. The juvenile delinquents were apprehended and forwarded to Observation Home, Shillong.

Drugs seized
On July 18 around 2.30 pm, police apprehended two suspected drug peddlers Kynton Kynjing (26) and Rimi-oo Shadap (27) from Iawmusiang, Jowai. On their leading, police raided the house of one Phrangwami Lakiang (24) at Dulong, Jowai and recovered 6.42 grams of contraband, one syringe and three vials. Police also recovered 2.73 grams of heroin, six syringes and 3½ Nitrazepam tablets from the possession of one Chandiam Bathuh (27 yrs).
On July 18 around 8.05 pm, acting on a tip off, police conducted vehicle checking at Lumsohkhlur, Mairang and apprehended two persons, Jeffrey Lyngdoh and Miketining Sohphoh from a local taxi (ML-06-6576), and recovered 24.95 grams of suspected heroin from their possession.

Assault
Niewkor Wahlang of Mawlai Nongpdeng, Shillong lodged a complaint that on July 5 around 7.30 pm, one Dhoi Shullai attacked her son Iaikyrmen Wahlang, while he was playing football near Wahumkhrah, Shillong.
Johrul Hoque of Noyagaon, Bhaitbari lodged a complaint that on June 5 one Momna Bewa assaulted her daughter-in-law. Again, on June 6 three persons Mominul Islam, Mizanur Islam and Mofida Bibi, assaulted her and another person at their residence, causing injuries to the victims.
Vehicle abandoned
On July 18, a vehicle parked at Byrnihat was stolen. The vehicle was later found abandoned at Panitola, Byrnihat. In this connection, police arrested one 26-year-old Manoj G Momin.

NGT violation
On the night of July 18, police detected three trucks while transporting coal in violation of the NGT order at Umsaw in Ri Bhoi.

FB misuse
Sujitsen R Marak of Upper Nogorpara, North Garo Hills lodged a complaint that on July 15 one Senbilli Marak uploaded her photograph in social networking site Facebook with comments to damage her reputation.

Impersonation
Islam Hoque Choudhury, Centre Superintendent of D.El.Ed examination centre, Garodubi Higher Secondary School, WGH lodged a complaint that on June 2, one Monirul Islam sent another person on his behalf to sit for the examination conducted by National Institute of Open Schooling, at Garodoba Higher Secondary School, Rajabala.
Looted at gun point
Chitra Kumar Rai lodged a complaint that on July 16, unidentified miscreants trespassed into his house at Khlookynring village and robbed him at gun point. Rs 2 lakh, two mobile phones and gold ornaments were taken away. In this connection, one Ashik Basumatry was arrested and was later admitted at CH Ialong for treatment.
