Some high ranking cadres of Peoples Democratic Council of Karbi Longri (PDCK) were taking shelter at Bokaram Tokbi gaon. When a police team reached the area, the militants fired at them and the police returned the fire.
In the exchange of fire between the police and PDCK militants, there was no report of any injury on the police side but “it is reliably learnt some senior cadres of the PDCK were injured in the exchange of fire,” the release said.
The police recovered one AK rifle, 70 rounds of ammunition, two magazines of the rifle, two mobile phones, one knife and a bag from the area after the exchange of fire, it said. (PTI)
