Open Badminton Championship from July 26 to 28
SHILLONG: The East Khasi Hills District Badminton Association will be conducting the 4th East Khasi Hills District Open Badminton Championship 2018 from July 26 to 28, at J.N. Indoor Stadium, Polo, Shillong. For more details one can contact the Secretary Miss Balarina Syiem Mobile No 9436100795/9402300795 or Shri Aiborlang Ranee Mobile No 9856709479. The last date of submission of entries is on or before 24th July 2018. Players will be selected from this Tournament to represent the District in the State Championship 2018.

Tokyo 2020 committee officially unveils Olympic mascots
TOKYO: The Tokyo 2020 Organising Committee officially presented its Olympic mascots Miraitowa and Someity at a massive event here on Sunday. The ceremony, which was attended by Tokyo Governor Yuriko Koike and organising committee president Yoshiro Mori, was held at a popular mall where hundreds of children and spectators had gathered, reports Efe.The name of the blue-checked Olympic mascot Miraitowa is derived from a combination of the Japanese words for future and eternity and seeks to “promote a future full of eternal hope in the hearts of people all over the world,” the committee said. Hamilton regains title lead after stunning German win
