LED bulbs distributed in Tripura

Ambassa: At least 200 LED bulbs have been distributed among the inhabitants of remote tribal hamlet in the bordering subdivision of Kamalpur in northern Tripura district of Dhalai here recently. The LED bulbs were distributed under the second phase of the Gram Swaraj Abhiyaan, which aims to extend facilities to the villagers.During the distribution programme, the officials focused on the welfare schemes of the Union government and urged them to use the opportunity wisely. Panchayat Extension Officer of Durgachowmuhani block Arijit Debbarma, Senior Manager of TSECL and the chairman of local panchayat were present in the programme. It might be mentioned here that Dhalai district got enlisted among 117 districts of the country for the second phase of Gram Swaraj Abhiyaan, and the work of extending facilities is going on in full swing.
