Student drowns in Simsang tributary

TURA: A girl drowned in the Rongon river in Williamnagar, East Garo Hills, where she had gone for a outing with her family on Friday.
The young and bright student, Ritu Ritziey W Momin, was swept away by the river current. The Rongon is a tributary of the Simsang river.
Although she was brought out of the water and taken to Williamnagar Civil Hospital, she could not be resuscitated. A former student of Sacred Heart School, she was about to complete her BSc in Forestry from Dolphin Post Graduate Institute of Biomedical and Natural Science University in Dehradun, Uttrakhand.
She was supposed to go back to Dehradun on Saturday.
