Award
The DC, East Khasi Hills, Shillong has informed the general public that Yashwantra Chavan Pratishthan Mumbai, has instituted an award to individuals/institutions in recognition of their outstanding contribution to national integration, democratic values as well as social and economic development. Notice
East Garo Hills Deputy Commissioner (Supply) had issued a notification directing the beneficiaries of the district under the National Food Security Act, 2013, to submit their correct particulars for disposal of claims and objections in order to streamline the over-all process of identification. The notice stated that the particulars of the beneficiaries will be accepted by the office of the DC till 14 August next.
General meeting
Meghalaya Small Savings Agent Association will hold its general body meeting at BSNL Quarter Complex, Opp Youth Hostel in Shillong at 11 am on Saturday. The association has asked all MPKBY and SAS agents to attend the meeting without fail.
Foundation day
Dwar Jingkyrmen celebrated its 33rd foundation anniversary on Wednesday with an exhibition of craft and sale of food made by the students. Stonyland Primary School, the Inclusive Section of Dwar Jingkyrmen, established in 2010 also participated in the celebrations.
I-Day run
As part of the week-long celebration of Independence Day this year, a run for unity and integrity will be organised by the District Administration in collaboration with the District Sports Office in Tura on August 14. The run which is open to all age groups will commence from Chandmary Playground at 6:30 am and pass through Ringrey market, petrol pump, Indoor Stadium, Police Point, Circuit House, Araimile and finish at Dikki Bandi Stadium in Dakopgre. Registration will take place at the starting point on the same day.
