Rynkon Nonglynnong (38) suffered minor injuries when a truck hit his car near Mookyndur in Jaintia Hills around 10:45am on Thursday. He was taken to Ummulong CHC in a Khliehtyrshi-based 108 ambulance.
On Thursday around 3:30pm, 38-year-old Pynroilin Shangdiar was injured when her car collided with another vehicle at Mawsynram. The victim was taken to Mawsynram CHC by an 108 ambulance.

Gurpreet Singh lodged a complaint stating that unknown miscreants stole cash Rs. 30,000 and one cell-phone from his residence at Harijan Colony, Iewduh, Shillong.
P.F Lyngdoh, EE, MUDA, Shillong lodged a complaint stating that on August 1 around 4 pm, two persons, Bishu Ali (23) and Sunny Singh were caught red-handed while stealing grills and windows belonging to MUDA Shopping Complex. Police have arrested the accused.

Abduction
Tbial Siangshai of Pamrakmaishnong village under Ladrymbai OP (EJH) lodged a complaint stating that on July 31, one Chanky Tamang abducted her fifteen year old daughter. Later, Police rescued the girl from Umrangso village (Assam) and have arrested the accused.
Hit and run
On July 14, one vehicle (number not known) knocked down one Sanju Satnami at Byndihati, NH-44 (EJH). The victim sustained injuries and was taken to CHC Khliehriat, where the attending MO declared him brought dead.
