TURA: Several Fair Price Shop dealers including a social activist from Mindikgre area in South Garo Hills have submitted a complaint and filed an FIR against the manager of a Kerosene Pump in Baghmara for charging more than the prescribed government rate for the commodity.
In a complaint to the Deputy Commissioner by one of the dealers it was alleged that Rs 8970/- was charged for 234 litres of kerosene at the rate of Rs 38.33 per litre when it should have been between Rs 25.51/- and Rs 26.07/-.
It has also been alleged that the issue of kerosene is being done only on Tuesdays and Thursdays every week, when it should have been done from Monday to Saturday.
An FIR has been filed in this regard with the Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Baghmara Police Station where action has been sought against the defaulter.
