Cong candidate oldest, CM youngest in poll fray

TURA: Age gap among some of the contesting candidates appears to be the widest in this election with the Congress candidate being the oldest and the chief minister the youngest, as per their affidavits filed before the Returning Officer.
The Congress candidate, Charlotte W Momin has touched 63 years while NPP’s Conrad K Sangma is the youngest at 40 years of age.
Among the Independents, former legislator John Leslee K Sangma is 52 years of age while Chris Kabul A Sangma stands at 53 years.
On the education front, the Congress candidate did her MA in Political Science from Guwahati University in 1975 and MA in Philosophy from Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi in 1979.
The chief minister, Conrad K Sangma, on the other hand, completed his Masters in Business Administration from the Imperial College, University of London, Great Britain in 2005.
Independent John Leslee K Sangma is an MA in History from the North Eastern Hill University batch of 1992.
The other Independent in the contest, Chris Kabul A Sangma did his Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com) from NEHU in the year 1987.
