Base laid for Lower Lumparing community hall

SHILLONG: South Shillong MLA, Sanbor Shullai, on Saturday laid the foundation stone for the construction of a community hall for the village Dorbar of Lower Lumparing at Lum Mawnei.
The MLA also handed over the work order for the same to the executive members of the Dorbar.
The community hall will be constructed at a cost of Rs 15 lakh from the scheme availed by Ricky Shullai from the Khasi Hills Autonomous District Council (KHADC). Speaking at the function, Shullai lauded the efforts and capability of Ricky, who in just a short span of time of about 2 years as MDC, was able to bring in many developmental programmes and schemes in the constituency. “When people have elected us to represent their constituency it is our duty to address the problems faced by the people in the constituency and to bring about a change by flushing various developmental schemes into the constituency,” he said.
On the KHADC election in 2019, Shullai said people should utilise their wisdom while selecting their candidate of choice to vote and not to fall prey to false propaganda during election.
