SHILLONG: A team of North East Delhi Police from Special Police Unit for NE Region (SPUNER), rescued a girl, Nidaio Sisngi of Nongbah village in West Jaintia Hills after she was threatened and trolled in Rajasthan recently.
The Northeast representative, Daniel Stone Lyngdoh, who is part of SPUNER, informed that Susngi is a student who had just completed her Diploma Electrical Engineering at Aravali Institute of Technical Studies, Umarda at Udaipur in Rajasthan and was facing difficulties which led the SPUNER and Robin Hibu to authorise Lyngdoh to rush to Rajasthan to look into the matter.
Lyngdoh said that it was on August 4 , when a student, Arpit Sharma of the same institute where Susngi was studying committed suicide by drinking poison and blamed her and the Director, HOD, teachers of the institute for his death.
Soon after the death of the boy, Susngi started receiving threatening calls from people claiming to be relatives of Sharma.
