Aptitude test

The Aptitude Test for candidates of Ri Bhoi who were registered in July for the seminar on ‘how to prepare for Civil Service Exams’, will be held on Saturday at the Science Hall, in Nongpoh. Candidates are to report at the centre by 9 am for spot registration.

NSS

The NSS unit of Nabon Synod Women’s College organised a Swachh Bharat Abhiyan programme on Tuesday, whereby the NSS volunteers took part in tree planting and cleaning drive. Slogan writing and painting competitions were also conducted.

IGNOU

The last date for submission of online and offline fresh admission of all Masters, Bachelors and Diploma programmes has been extended to August 31, an IGNOU statement informed.

Eid

Eid-Ul-Azha prayer will be held in Laban Eid-Gah at 9 am on August 22. The congregational prayer will be lead by Janab Hafiz Md. Saddam Sb, Imam of Madina Masjid, Eid-Gah.

Tagore

Rabindranath Tagore Club in collaboration with Laban Bengalee Boys’ L P School will celebrate the birth anniversary of Tagore besides the prize distribution ceremony of the 11th Inter Shillong Cultural Event at U  Soso Tham Auditorium at 2 pm on Sunday.

Condolence

The members of the Frontier Chamber of Commerce (FCC), Shillong expressed deep sorrow and grief at the sudden and untimely demise of Ramgopal Deorah of Gauhati Grain Traders.  The FCC stated that he was closely connected with the chamber for the last 35 years and rendered his services to the chamber in different capacity and also worked as the president and secretary of the group. The members convey their condolence to the bereaved family.

MUPSTA, Ri Bhoi will hold its general meeting on Saturday at Umkynsir Presbyterian UP School, Umkynsir, Patharkhmah at 10:30 am.
