Shillong hosts second Shangri-La Cosplay festival

SHILLONG: Contestants from across North East India participated at the 2nd Shangri-La Cosplay festival in Shillong on Saturday.
Participants dressed up as their favourite characters took part in the festival, which was judged by judges from around the country.
The winning character “Katana from the movie Suicide Squad” will choose a partner to represent Meghalaya on the National Stage and if they win, they will go on to represent India in Japan. The event provided a place for various kinds of artistic activities like comic author, Mangyakas, food artists, etc.

To celebrate the nations role in being the Global Host of 2018’s World Environment Day the organizers have incorporated the UN theme of ‘Beat Plastic Pollution’ into the Event. The event is in collaboration with ‘Metropolis Asia’ and ‘Empyre Concord’ It is a pre-event that will lead up to the Metropolis event that will be held in the fourth quarter of 2018.
