TURA: Two Member District Council (MDCs) of the Garo Hills Autonomous District Council (GHADC) who were part of the Garo National Council (GNC) and later ditched the party are yet to hand in their resignations.

General Secretary of the GNC, Henyshing A Sangma informed that two MDCs, Boston Ch Marak and Jinberth R Marak are yet to officially inform the party of their decision to leave the party,  which is an anti-party activity.

While it is not known whether Jinberth has joined any political, Boston on the other hand had recently joined the UDP soon after leaving the GNC.

“Both the MDCs have not officially submitted their resignations. This is an act against the party and we have decided to take disciplinary action against them. Both the members will no longer be considered as primary members of the GNC with immediate effect,” Sangma said.
