SHILLONG: The East Khasi Hills police are sending more notices to people in connection with the recent unrest in the city.
Over 100 people have already been summoned.
East Khasi Hills SP Davis Marak said those who have been summoned are appearing before police and the process of sending notices will take some time.
Police have summoned those who were part of the unlawful assembly, stone pelting and arson in the city and who were identified from photographs and videos.
Meanwhile, the SP also said the situation in Shillong is under control though not fully normal and police are vigil.
A visit to Harijan Colony on a busy Wednesday afternoon showed that the entire stretch was still barricaded on both sides and only two-wheelers were being allowed to pass through the area.
A few paramilitary personnel were guarding the locality while other activities continued as usual.
