KHNAM prez says not resigning

SHILLONG: The president of Khun Hynniewtrep National Awakening Movement (KHNAM), Pyndapbor Saibon, said he has no intention to resign and will stand by the decision to field Rocky Hek and Thomas Passah in the 2019 council elections.
When contacted, Saibon said, “I don’t have any intention to resign. The central election committee (CEC) has already decided about the candidature and it will not change.”
KHNAM MLA Adelbert Nongrum demanded the resignation of Saibon after he backed Rocky Hek for Mawkhar-Pynthorumkhrah. Nongrum wanted Gloenbert Khongwir as candidate from the constituency.
