NPP, UDP to remain in MDA irrespective of outcome of by-poll to Ranikor LAC

SHILLONG: Chief Minister, Conrad Sangma has made it clear that the UDP and NPP will continue to be partners in the ruling Meghalaya Democratic Alliance (MDA) notwithstanding which of the two parties  wins by-election to  Ranikor Legislative Assembly Constituency (LAC).

“We will continue to be in coalition and this is the beauty of democracy,” he said.

He also reiterated his confidence that he would win the Tura by poll after seeing the response of the public in the constituency.

It may be mentioned that the results for by-poll of both the constituencies will be declared on Monday.
