SHILLONG: A complaint was lodged against the son of former Ranikor MLA MM Danggo for conducting a vice raid without any legal notice in a house at Karaikora village in South West Khasi Hills.
Nitai Hajong lodged a complaint that on August 21 around 8.30 pm, John Jingjang R. Marak Danggo, working in the Excise Department, accompanied by BSF and police personnel, conducted an excise raid in his house, the police said.
Meanwhile, Danggo’s son has also lodged a complaint that on the same day at 7 pm, miscreants threatened his supporters at Wanokchiring village under Khasiadop polling station. After learning about the incident, he along with two police personnel (gunmen assigned to his father MM Danggo) rushed to the spot to enquire the matter but the miscreants had already left.
However, when they were returning via Koraikora village, miscreants pelted stones at their vehicle (ML05 J 8043) causing damage to the rear pane.
Danggo further added that they landed at Hajong’s house while chasing those miscreants.
