Assault
Bankim Chandra Barman lodged a complaint stating that on August 28 around, a gang of miscreants entered his residence and assaulted him with sticks and looted Rs 80,000 cash.
Joyshree Dey lodged a complaint stating that on August 27 evening, one Ratan Deb along with Bablu Deb, Gautam Dey, Sikha Dey and Surmita Dey assaulted her and her son Saurav Dey. They also tore her clothes.
Bablu Deb lodged a complaint that on August 27, one Saurav Dey along with his accomplices went to his residence at Pynthorbah and created nuisance. In the meantime, one Joyshree Dey assaulted the complainant’s mother, causing injuries to her.
Body recovered
On August 22 around 5:30pm the body of an unknown male was found lying nest to the bus shed near Military Hospital in the city. The bosy was taken to Civil Hospital for conducting post mortem examination and is currently inthe hospital morgue awaiting identification. The deceased is five feet five inches tall. Eveningstar Sangriang (39), son of Klip Nongsiang of Rio Nongrynniang village, South West Khasi Hills has been absconding from his residence after his wife had filed a police complaint back in February stating that he had been regularly raping his own daughter Manosha Wanniang since the year 2012. He is approximately five feet ten inches tall with short curly hair, round face and swarthy complexion. Theft
On August 29, unknown miscreants stole one motorcycle belonging to Grish Chandra Kalita from Sawlad, Madanrting.
Mahabir Prasad Singhania lodged a complaint stating that 400 tiles meant for development work at Samsan Bhumi, Barapathar were stolen between August 26 and 28.
Tharsiush Sangma lodged a complaint stating that on August 28 morning, one Dewin D Sangma was caught stealing a bicycle from Damas Secendary School and hand over to the police at Sainadubi outpost.
