‘Assaulters falsely accused widow’

SHILLONG: Joyshree Dey, against whom a complaint was lodged recently, has been falsely accused, said a relative.
Bablu Deb lodged a complaint that on August 27, Saurav Dey, Joyshree’s son, along with his accomplices went to his residence at Pynthorbah and created nuisance. The complainant also said Joyshree assaulted the complainant’s mother causing injuries to her.
However, the relative said on condition of anonymity that Joyshree went to Deb’s house to ask for rent. But she was beaten up by a group of men, including Deb. Joyshree is a widow and lives with her two children. Saurav, her son, was also beaten up by Deb and his accomplices, the relative said.
