50 per cent people EKH enrolled under Aadhaar

SHILLONG: Around  50  per cent population of the East Khasi Hills (EKH) district  have been enrolled under the Aadhaar .

East Khasi Hills Deputy Commissioner, PS Dkhar said that the Administration did not have any deadline to cover the 100  per cent population of the district.

“We are enrolling people, who wish to enroll themselves,”

Meanwhile, UIDAI website as on August 15 shows that 26.1% per cent population of Meghalaya have been enrolled with Aadhar with 854341assigned Aadhaars
