Sonowal announces Rs 1.60 crore award to Hima Das

GUWAHATI: Assam government has announced Rs 1.60 crore award to athlete sprinter  Hima Das who won three medals including a gold and two silvers, in the just concluded Asian Games 2018 held in Jakarta. Assam chief minister , Sarbananda Sonowal has announced the award to HIma Das who hails from Kandhulimari village in Dhing in Nagaon district of Assam.

Hima who is arriving in the country on Tuesday, will be felicitated by Assam government in a grand function to be held at Srimanta Sankardev Kalakshetra here on September 7.
